Delivery of the bench and the headphones is expected soon
The Culture Mile Business Investment District has granted us £2,000 towards the cost of a new digital piano.
This, combined with an extremely generous donation from a private individual and other funds collected from events held over the past couple of years gives us sufficient funds to purchase a Yamaha digital piano for the Dining Room.

Midguard, who are developing No 1 Golden Lane, have completed the jet washing of the pavement outside the front of Tudor Rose Court, and the clearance and jet washing of the pavement in the basement areas. As preparation for this work, they also levelled the paving outside the West Entrance.
This has given a great 'lift' to the appearance of our building.
The Residents' Association's dishwasher in the lounge ceased working at the end of March, 2025. A new dishwasher was purchased by the Residents' Association and installed on 8th May. Further details can be found on the Projects page.

On 10th July 2024 Tudor Rose Court's gardening group were invited to attend a talk given by representatives from the Greenspace Information for Greater London CIC held in the Barbican Wildlife Garden. Vicky from GiGL handed out this fascinating fact sheet. Many of the species recorded make it over the fence into our garden - some more welcome than others!
15th June 2024. This was the view of the flypast from our garden at Tudor Rose Court. The clouds cleared minutes before the flypast was due. We are fortunate that the Red Arrows usually start displaying the coloured trails just before they overfly us. You can tell when they are about to appear overhead by looking for their reflection in the windows of Blake Tower when you are standing in our garden.
On Thursday 6th June 2024 a group of residents were given a guided tour of Mansion House, the official residence of the Lord Mayor of the City of London. We were privileged to be shown round by Peter Canon, senior speechwriter for the Lord Mayor. Peter took us to the plate room, in reality a large walk-in safe in the basement. There we saw wonderful pieces of gold, silver and silver-gilt that have been gifted to the City of London. Many of these pieces are used to grace the tables at the large set-piece banquets held in the Eqyptian Hall, which we were able to view as it was being set up for one such banquet. We enjoyed the extensive art collection, sculptures and decorations in this magnificent Georgian House designed by George Dance the Elder. Altogether a wonderful visit, expertly guided by the knowledgeable and entertaining Peter Canon.
Join us in the garden on Saturday, 8th June 2024 from 3 pm - 5 pm for prosecco, strawberries and cheese scones. Residents free, guests £5 each. RSVP by 4th June by completing the form below or look out for the invitation in your post box.
The next phase of construction is beginning. More details available here

From Wikipedia: The Mansion House is the official residence of the Lord Mayor of London. It is a Grade I listed building. Designed by George Dance in the Palladian style, it was built primarily in the 1740s.
The Mansion House is used for some of the City of London's most formal official functions, including two annual white tie dinners. At the Easter banquet, the main speaker is the Foreign Secretary, who then receives a reply from the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, i.e. the longest-serving ambassador. In early June, it is the turn of the Chancellor of the Exchequer to give his "Mansion House Speech" about the state of the British economy. The most famous was the Mansion House Speech of 1911 by David Lloyd George, which warned the German Empire against opposing British influence during the period leading up to the First World War.
Following a successful request from our Treasurer, Nick Cressey, the producers of "Slow Horses" (Embankment Jackson River Films Season 3 - shown on Apple TV) have agreed to donate £500 to the Residents' Association to compensate us for the inconvenience during their upcoming filming on the Golden Lane Estate, Fann Street and Aldersgate Street in Fann Street, Aldersgate Street over the weekend of 6th and 7th April.
22nd March 2024 - Seen in Fann Street! This is the third sighting to the author's knowledge.
